this is my short story:

I was running fast ,I mean really fast my heart was thumping like the beat of a drum. It felt like I was competing with a herd of elephants,I was running away from a crazy monkey that wanted to take the cracker out of my pocket. The monkey looked like a black shadow racing towards me. I paused and  hid behind a tree, the monkey did not see me at all it was keeping his mind on the cracker so I just through the cracker on it. The monkey stopped and looked around but never saw me. So it ran back into the forest where it belongs.

The book I have been reading is Alice Marinda Shines Bright. The responces that I have used in my literature circles book is : drawing a picture,writing what happened in the story and pedicting what will happen next.

 The class is learning about literature circles. The book I am reading is Alice Marinda shines bright by Jacqueline Harvey.After reading for 15 minutes and then your group has to respond to the text.

this is the ways to respond to the text:

•drawing a picture of what happened in the story.

•predicting what will happen next in  the story.

•describing the characters in the story.

•write what will happen next in the story.

After responding to the text your group will talk about what they have done and what you have discussed in the story.
